Last week in our Sabbath message, we discussed the illusion of power versus real the real Power. We concluded that there is a true Source of Power. The true Power is the One who created us, and is within us. But that is not the end of the line. Like the power lines pictured above, We were not created and planted in this world just to receive power but to also transmit. Today's message discusses how we can recognize, harness and utilize the Power within.

Message
Throughout history, in every culture, there have been remarkable, seemingly larger than life individuals whose lives have been an inspiration to us all. These people...the great leaders, spiritual masters, prophets and mighty men and women of the past....were as diverse as humanity. Each had a very individualized mission. Some accomplished miraculous feats against seemingly insurmountable odds. Some imparted great spiritual truths that enriched our minds and souls. Some were martyrs to cause greater than themselves. Some led movements that changed the course of humanity.
All the great ones of history had one trait in common, though. All had great strength of spirit. This spiritual fortitude is so rare in our world that those who possess it seem almost larger than life...like superheros. The Force within them and the inner Light guiding them are so strong that it would be easy to assume that it is a mutant trait....something beyond that available to the average human. However, that is cutting ourselves short. Believing that every human cannot harness the same Force prevents humanity from reaching its full potential. It is the ultimate excuse for laziness.
Each of us....each child of the Mother and Father... has Divine Power and the ability to access that Power. Even before conception, each soul was created in the image of God and gifted with a spark of the Divine. Before birth, a life plan was implanted in each heart. We knew the plan when we arrived on this planet. Unfortunately, there are many distractions in this world. Often we are given wrong messages as we mature and develop. We are told we have no power. Worse yet, we are told that to have power we have to get it from outside sources....money, fame...etc. Sometimes well-meaning souls try to guide us to a plan that is different from the in-born blueprint.
So this is the dilemma that confronts each of us and often blocks us from achieving our full potentia. It is difficult to recognize the Power within us with all the distractions and conflicting messages around us. Without the Power, there is no Light. Without the Light we are unable to see the plan for our lives that has been written by the Hand of God upon our souls. Unable to see the plan, we flounder around in the dark.
There is a better Way. If we are willing, the Mother and Father are anxiously waiting to guide us back to the Power. The steps are easy. They are laid out in the scripture above.
First, we must find the Source and turn on the swith. That requires an investment of time on our part. "The first scripture says that they that wait upon the Lord will renew their strength". The key is to wait. Sit quietly, spend time with God without the world's distractions. Have
daily communion with the Mother and Father. During this time, the Holy Spirit Mother will begin to fan that Divine Spark that lies within each spirit. The Power will grow and strengthen our Spirit. It is easy. All that is required of us is time and receptivity.
That leads to the second step. Become a better reciever. My husband is a ham radio operator. He has several recievers on which he listens to different radio signals. Sometimes the recievers get a lot of noise and static that prevent him from hearing the signal. He has had to put special filters in these radios.
The second scripture says the prayers of a righteous man are very effective. The key word is righteous. Righteousness...correct living...is our filter. We best receive and transmit the Power of God when we are righteous. That is why Yeshua hamashiach (Jesus the Messiah) was sent to this world. He came to guide us in the Way. The Way is a path laid out in the scriptures that guides our lives. It is what makes us pure vessels ready to best receive and transmit the Power from the Source.
So far in this message we have found the Source, plugged ourselves in and cleaned up the vessels receiving the power. Now that we have received, it is time to transmit. To whom much is given, much is required. When Mother and Father entrust us with the Holy Power, it is to be used. Faith is the vehicle we will use to share the Power with others. Faith is the transmitter of the power of God. Yeshua said that if we have faith of the size of mustard seed we may move mountains. Faith without works however, is dead. We must act for Faith to move.
If we have our lives centered in the Power, we will naturally be led to the areas in which we are to utilze the Power. In the first scripture it states that those that wait on the Lord will... rise up on wings like eagles. Eagles soar on the currents of the Wind. In the same way, children of the Kingdom of Heaven are led by the wind of the Spirit to exactly where they are to be used.
Our job is to keep our spiritual eyes open so that we will not miss opportunities to share the Power within us. Then when the occasion arises, act in Faith. We know the power is there, we must be brave enough to use it. When someone is in pain, we must comfort them. When someone is hurt, we must heal them. When work is to be done, we must offer our abilities, strength and support, knowing that all that we offered will be amplified by the Power of our Father and Mother.
This all sounds good in the abstract. How do we put it into practical application? That is where the last scripture fits in the picture. Hebrews says Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see and gives the example of God creating the universe out of nothing. The Father and Mother said, Let us create and substance formed out of nothingness. The same Power that created the universe is within us. We, too, can create in Faith.
There is a favorite old saying of motivational speakers. It goes like this, " If you can conceive it and believe it, you can achieve it." That is exactly the method that God used in creating the world and us. It is the same method we can use to harness the Power of God within us. This is true prayer. Prayer is not meant to be a recitation of empty words. In fact, Yeshua warns against repeating empty prayers hoping to be heard because of the many words.
Prayer is meant to be true communion (oneness) with the Father and Mother. It is a time which we recharge from the Source and focus the Power we receive to create positive results.
Let me give you one example from my own life of this type of active, creative prayer. About 10 years ago, I had two rebellious teenage children. They were both engaging in some destructive habits that could have had terrible consequences. Nothing that I said seemed to deter them from this path. I did not give up on them. To give up would be denying the Power the ability to work. I did not worry either. Worrying is an even worse strategy. Worrying would mean that I would be believing and conceiving that bad consquences would result. So I would be harnessing the Power within me and focusing it to create negative results.
Instead, I would visualize each child in my mind, speak their name and tell them I loved them. Scripture says God is Love. So by giving them Love, I am actually accessing the Power of God in their lives. Next I would picture each child as a happy adult pursuing God's paln for their lives. Lastly, I would visualize each child securely standing in the Hand of Father and in my mind's eye I would see the Mother descending upon them as a Dove and wrapping herself around them like a warm blanket. Then I would say, "Amen" which means "So be it."
So each day, that is where I would leave my children...safe in the Hand of the Father and wrapped in the Love of the Mother. That is what I conceived in faith. That is what I believed every day inspite of what I saw in the physical. Finally, slowly, what I conceived, and believed manifested itself in our reality. The rebellious teenagers became responsible adults.
Faith CAN move mountains. We all have been given our own mountains to move. Learning to move them is one of the reasons we have been placed in this creation at this moment in eternity. It is a lesson worth learning. Remember the great ones we discussed at the beginning of the lesson? Think of all that was accomplished in civilization by a few people with the faith to move mountains. Now imagine what this world would be like if human ever created had acted in faith in the same Power. What a beautiful world this would be! On the other side of the mountains lies the Kingdom of Heaven on earth.
Final Thought
I hope that this message has inspired you to seek the Source of Power within you and to access that Power to be a Force for good in this world.
I must warn you though that you will be going against the status quo. Society will no longer consider you normal. "Normal" people are content to trundle along aimlessly through life. "Normal" people have accepted the lies they have been told and truly believe they are powerless to change anything. The 'normal ones" live lives of "quiet desperation" tossed about by fate. Once you choose to be an agent of change you break from that pack. Many will consider you odd. Some may even call you crazy.
As one who has broken from the pack long ago, I can tell you from personal experience that it is a little lonely out here but definately worth it.

to keep your Power pure and strong within us
